Ghillie Dhu Valentines Ladies Night Exhibition
‘At Ghillie Dhu we are holding Valentine’s Ladies Night Exhibition on the 14th of February at 7pm with the aim to raise proceeds for the fantastic local charity Maggie’s Centre, who specialise in care centres for suffers and the families of cancer patients. The aim of the event is to allow women to treat themselves this Valentines. We will have a range of experts in the beauty, hair & fitness industry lined up who will be giving the best advice and offering free treatments throughout the night. Exhibitors include Mosko Hairdressing, Pure Gym, Womankind Beauty, and we will also be holding cocktail master-classes throughout.
Ladies will be welcomed with a cocktail on arrival and the chance to enter our raffle to win some amazing prizes from hairdressing vouchers and concert tickets to hotel stays in the city centre. All the prizes from our raffle and silent auction will be awarded to guests by Edinburgh Rugby Players. To finish the evening there will be a live band until midnight. What more could you want from a ladies night out?

Attention First Time Buyers!
Did you know that First Time Buyers are currently exempt from Stamp Duty Land Tax on all properties purchased up to £250,000, making this an ideal time to buy your first home?
However, you will need to act quickly! To benefit from this exemption you must complete your property purchase on or before the 24th March 2012; from the 25th March this year the threshold for payment of Stamp Duty for first time buyers will revert back to £125,000. The saving this can offer you on the purchase of your first home is significant. For example, if you purchase a property for say £150,000 as a first time buyer on the 24th March, you will pay no Stamp Duty. If you complete your purchase of this property on the 25th March you will be liable to Stamp Duty of £1,500!
With a large number of properties currently on the market within this price range act now to avoid this liability. As a council employee we are offering to charge a reduced fee of £475, plus vat and outlays for any 1st time buyer completion that takes place between now and the end of March.
